The Center for Prevention and Treatment of Infections provides evaluation and medical care to patients with all types of infections. Patients are generally referred to our Practice by their primary care physician, or a specialty provider. The Practice also focuses on HIV care. Patients with HIV do not need a referral for medical evaluation and treatment.
The Practice is comprised of a traditional medical practice (Infectious Diseases Associates d/b/a Center for Prevention and Treatment of Infections), a non-profit (HIV Care Center), and a consultation service for infection control (Infection Control Services).
Currently we have four physicians, all Board Certified in Infectious Diseases, and four mid-level practitioners, Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners. All of the mid-levels render medical care under the supervision of a physician.
