Privacy Policy

"Your privacy is one of our utmost concerns." The importance of maintaining confidentiality of all patient information and discussing patient information only in a professional context as needed for patient care is emphasized to all our staff on employment and regularly through staff meetings. Our office is designed geographically so that patients do no pass through the central core and therefore cannot visualize any paperwork with other patient names. The patient care areas are double locked. The patient chart is maintained electronically and the computer is secured by professionals in Information Technology to prevent hacking. We are careful not to give out information to callers and others who may casually mention a patient's name. We take information from the patient so that we know to whom they want us to speak to about their health status. We have TVs in each exam room which we keep on except when the provider is in the room, so that voices are not overheard from room to room, and we have an "inside voices" policy to be sure patient information is not overheard as well.
