Infection Control Services provides a full range of services addressing infection control practices and problem solving issues. The services also offer management of occupational blood exposures with access to a Blood Exposure Hotline that operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Services fees are based on the employers needs. Below you will find a sample of the spectrum of services we offer. We would be pleased to discuss your needs with you.
- Initial site visit to review facilities compliance to infection control practices and the OSHA Standards; minimum of 3 visits per month for the first 3 months; thereafter 2 site visits per month to address infection control issues and problem solve. Site visits will be determined by the needs identified by the administrative staff and the schedule will meet the needs of the facility.
- Review of existing Infection Control and Employee Health Policies including Exposure Control Plans (management of blood and tuberculosis exposures) presently in use. A written report of recommendations for change will be provided.
- Develop isolation policies and other infection control practice policies as requested.
- Evaluation and management of occupational blood and body fluid exposures via the Blood Exposure Hotline with follow-up management of the exposure in the Infection Control Services Physician's office. This service is based on immediate availability via the Hotline. Charges for follow up management, which are workers compensation reimbursable, will be submitted to the workers compensation carrier.
- Evaluation of clinical situations in which there is a question of relationship to infection control practices.
- Evaluation of communicable disease exposures and medical situations which may present a risk to patient care.
- Presentation of educational sessions to provide Infection Control and OSHA mandated education.

- Interpretation of laboratory studies
- Interpretation of positive PPD skin tests and recommendation for TB prophylaxis
- Immunization recommendations
- Work restrictions related to illness or communicable disease exposure
- Prophylaxis (if indicated) following a communicable disease exposure
